M1 a.k.a Matteo DiMaria . Started way back in '85 producing hip hop tracks and battle Dj'ing. Released his first track and now house classic in '91 called "Feel The Drums". The rest is history. M1 has had one of the longest house music careers in Canadian history. Never wanting fame or fortune. M1 has managed to do things his own way without compromise. Shying away from attention has always been his style. While countless artist/producers have come and gone from the early days of house, M1 has managed to have a 17 year career quietly.

In addition to M1’s Legendary House music career M1 has been producing music for TV, Film and the multimedia industries. M1 has composed music for Alliance Atlantis, Budweiser, Spike Lee, Much Music, Nivea, Trojan, Lava Lamp, The Food Network, YTV, Nissan & Big  City Films just to name a few.
